We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our personal and corporate advisory team.

​

SMB Advisory is a longstanding boutique accounting practice operating in the restructuring, turnaround and insolvency space, with offices located in Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Hobart. SMB Advisory provides a range of advisory services and takes pride in ethical decision making and effective solutions for our clients.

About the Role:

​

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of engagements, including but not limited to:

• Business reconstruction

• Corporate and personal insolvency

• Business valuations

• Forensic accounting

• Other advisory services.

  Other key roles include:

• Applying appropriate controls to client engagements.

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and cash flows.

• Preparation of draft reports to lenders and creditors.

• Compiling information, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.

• Building and developing relationships with clients / referrers across SMB Advisory’s

  network.

• Ensuring all work is well documented and the file is maintained in line with legislative

  and firm guidelines.

About you:

​

To successful for this role, ideally you will:

• Have recently graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce or Business (majoring in Accounting) or similar undergraduate or post graduate degree.

• Be eligible to commence CA studies.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Display a high level of attention to detail.

• Be able to contribute to and collaborate in a team environment and with staff across

  the business, whilst also being able to work autonomously.

• Have strong problem solving, financial analysis and investigate skills.
